Frequently Asked Questions
Honest answers to the questions we get most often — about lash extensions, semi-permanent brows, lash lifts, facials, and how our studio works.
Common Questions
Lash Extensions
Eyelash extensions are individual synthetic or silk fibres bonded to each of your natural lashes with a medical-grade adhesive. They add length, curl, and fullness to your lashes without the need for mascara. When applied by a trained artist, extensions are safe, comfortable, and completely customisable to your eye shape and desired look.
Lash extensions last through your natural lash growth cycle — typically 6 to 8 weeks before a full new set is needed. Most clients return for a refill every 2 to 3 weeks to maintain fullness as their natural lashes shed. With proper aftercare, your extensions will look beautiful throughout.
When applied correctly by a certified artist, lash extensions do not damage your natural lashes. At our studio, we carefully isolate each natural lash and select an extension weight appropriate for its health and length. Damage typically occurs from improper application, over-heavy extensions, or picking — which we always advise against.
Yes, most clients with sensitive eyes tolerate lash extensions very well. We use medical-grade, formaldehyde-free adhesive. If you have known sensitivities, we recommend a patch test before your first full set. Please mention any allergies or eye conditions when you book.
Classic lashes apply one extension per natural lash for a natural mascara look. Hybrid lashes blend Classic and Volume techniques for a textured, wispy finish. Volume uses handcrafted fans of 2–6 ultra-fine extensions per lash for fullness without weight. Mega Volume uses even finer, denser fans for maximum drama. Not sure which is right for you? Book a consultation and we'll guide you.
Avoid water and steam for the first 24 hours after application. Cleanse your lashes daily with a gentle, oil-free cleanser — clean lashes actually last longer. Brush them each morning with a clean spoolie. Avoid oil-based products near the eyes. Sleep on your back or use a silk pillowcase if you're a side sleeper. And please, never pull or pick at your extensions.
You generally won't need mascara — that's the whole point! If you want a little extra drama on the tips, use a water-based mascara sparingly on the ends only. Avoid oil-based or waterproof mascaras as they break down the adhesive bond.
A full new set typically takes 90 to 150 minutes depending on the style. A 2-week refill takes approximately 45 to 60 minutes, and a 3-week refill 60 to 75 minutes. We ask that you arrive with clean lashes — free of mascara and makeup.
At our Doral studio, full sets start from $130 for Natural and $195 for Mega Volume. Refills start from $65. Prices vary by style and the density of your desired look. You can see full pricing when you book, or contact us for a quote.
Common Questions
Lash Lift
A lash lift is a semi-permanent treatment that curls and lifts your natural lashes from the root, making them appear longer, fuller, and more open — without any extensions. It's often paired with a lash tint for a mascara-like darkening effect.
A lash lift typically lasts 6 to 8 weeks, depending on your natural lash cycle and how you care for your lashes. You'll notice the lift gradually relaxing as new lashes grow in.
Lash extensions add synthetic fibres to your natural lashes to create length and volume. A lash lift works only with your existing natural lashes, curling them upward for a wide-eyed effect. Extensions require regular refills; a lash lift is a lower-maintenance option.
You can get a lash lift if you have at least a few millimetres of natural lash length. Very short lashes may not show dramatic results. During your consultation, your artist will assess your lash length and advise whether a lift or extensions would better suit your goals.
Common Questions
Microblading & Brows
Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow technique where a fine, hand-held tool deposits pigment into the upper layers of skin using hair-like strokes. The result looks remarkably like real eyebrow hairs and can last 1 to 3 years depending on skin type and aftercare.
Most clients describe it as mild discomfort rather than pain. We apply a topical numbing cream before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable. Sensitivity varies from person to person, but the vast majority of our clients are pleasantly surprised by how tolerable it is.
Microblading typically lasts 12 to 18 months before a colour refresh is recommended, though some clients go up to 2 to 3 years. Oilier skin types and sun exposure can cause the pigment to fade faster. A touch-up at 6 to 8 weeks after the initial appointment is included in your service to perfect the result.
Microblading creates individual hair-like strokes for a natural, textured look. Powder brows (also called ombré brows) create a soft, filled-in effect — like perfectly applied eyebrow powder. Powder brows tend to last longer and are better suited to oilier skin types. Not sure which is right for you? We offer a full consultation before any permanent brow service.
The first week involves some redness and light scabbing — this is completely normal. By week 2, the brows may look slightly faded as the outer layer of skin heals. By week 4 to 6, the true colour settles and the results look their best. A touch-up appointment at 6 to 8 weeks perfects the shape and fills any gaps.
Microblading is not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding clients, those on blood thinners, clients with active skin conditions in the brow area, or those with certain autoimmune conditions. A full consultation ensures microblading is the right choice for you.
Brow lamination restructures your brow hairs using a chemical solution, allowing them to be set in an upward, brushed-out position. The result is thick, fluffy, Instagram-worthy brows that last 6 to 8 weeks. It's sometimes called a "brow perm."
Brow henna is a plant-based pigment that colours both the eyebrow hairs and the skin beneath. Unlike regular tint, which only colours the hair, henna creates a shadow effect that fills in sparse areas. Henna on the skin lasts 1 to 2 weeks; on the hair, 4 to 6 weeks.
Common Questions
Facials & Waxing
Regular facials deeply cleanse pores, improve skin texture and tone, boost circulation, and keep your skin in its healthiest state. They also allow your artist to catch early skin concerns and recommend the right at-home care. We customise every facial to your skin type and current concerns.
For most skin types, a facial every 4 to 6 weeks aligns with your skin's natural cell-turnover cycle and provides the best ongoing results. Clients dealing with acne or hyperpigmentation may benefit from more frequent treatments initially.
Yes — we tailor every facial to your skin's specific needs. Whether you have dry, oily, combination, sensitive, or mature skin, your artist will select the appropriate products and techniques. Please disclose any allergies or active skin conditions when you book.
Minor redness or sensitivity for a few hours after waxing is normal, but breakouts are uncommon when waxing is done properly with clean technique and good-quality wax. We advise against applying makeup directly after a wax and recommend keeping the area clean for 24 hours.
